Core Beliefs
The following are the core beliefs of Word of Life Church based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
The Bible
We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God.
The Trinity
We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His incarnation as true God and true man, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.
Mankind
We believe that humanity was created in the image of God, but is separated from God by sin, and must be redeemed by grace through faith in Christ’s vicarious atonement for sins, His death on the Cross. “For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God; not of works, lest any man should boast.” Eph. 2:8-9
Eternal Life
We believe that the gift of eternal life is available to all, and that those who receive Christ by faith are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God.
We believe the redemptive work of Christ on the Cross provides healing for body, mind, and spirit in answer to believing prayer.

Holy Spirit
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit who indwells every believer, thus uniting all believers in the spiritual Body of Christ. We believe the baptism of the Holy Spirit is a gift from God promised by the Lord Jesus Christ to every believer, is received subsequent to the new birth, and is accompanied by the initial sign of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. We believe the Holy Spirit operates in all believers in the power and gifts of the Spirit, manifesting them as He wills.
The Resurrection
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost – those that are saved to the resurrection of life and those that are lost to the resurrection of damnation.
Unity
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, and seek community with them, “speaking the truth in love, [that we] may grow up in all things into Him who is the Head – Christ.” (Ephesians 4:15)
