Devotional: Good Days - Day One
5-Day Devotional: Good Days
Day 1: Presenting Yourself as a Living Sacrifice
Reading: Romans 12:1-3
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
Devotional: True life begins when we surrender our own plans and present ourselves wholly to God. This is not a burden but a reasonable response to His mercies. When we lay down our lives, God doesn't leave us empty—He transforms our minds and reveals His perfect will. The key to loving life isn't clinging to worldly pleasures but discovering God's purpose for you. Like Jesus in Gethsemane, saying "not my will but Yours," we find true joy in surrender. Today, ask yourself: What am I holding back from God? Present it to Him as a living sacrifice and watch Him transform it into something beautiful.
