Devotional: Good Days - Day Three
Day 3: Seeking Peace and Pursuing It
Reading: Colossians 3:12-15
12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
Matthew 5:9
9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Devotional: Peace is not passive—it must be actively sought and pursued. Let the peace of God rule in your heart, giving Him full authority to rearrange, remove, and restore what needs attention. When peace rules, it means it's in charge, able to change things. As much as possible, be at peace with all people, but remember that true peace starts within. Gratitude and peace are inseparably linked; thankfulness shifts your focus from what you lack to what you've been given. Today, identify one area of conflict or anxiety. Invite God's peace to rule there. Practice gratitude and watch peace settle into your heart.
